Akai S1000 Sampler 24mb RAM OS v4.4.
Powers up, screen bright, backlight working. 24mb memory for extended sample time. AES/EBU digital board.
No audio testing performed but from Dex Wright collection - he owned and used many upgraded Akai samplers in excellent order - so expected to be working well. No warranty implied.
Late 1980s. The S1000 was widely used in professional studios and became popular due to its excellent sound quality and versatile sampling capabilities.
A little scruffy but overall good - please note it is missing one control knob.
